Ukraine to use German funds for restoration of national railway infrastructure
The German government will provide a US$500 million loan to Ukraine for the restoration of the country’s railway infrastructure, which was destroyed as a result of a recent military conflict.
It is planned that the funds will be invested in the restoration of railway infrastructure of Donbass and several surrounding regions, and in particular Donetsk, Luhansk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhya and Kharkiv regions.
The funds will be provided by the German KFW bank for the period up to 15 years.
