Call for papers closes in May
Following 4 successful editions, conference organiser Europoint will launch the 5th International Rail Technology Conferences from 17 - 19 November in Paris, France. This international conference will be held in the office of the International Union of Railways (UIC).
The themes of the conference will cover:
- Wheel/Rail Interface & Switches - 17 November 2015
- Noise & Vibrations - 18 November 2015
- Railways & Environment - 19 November 2015
The wheel-rail interface in railway operations is a dynamic and complex area. Scientific studies and technological developments are continuously trying to improve the performance of both systems and to reduce side effects such as noise and vibrations. This task becomes even more complex when considering the influences of more sensitive track structures such as switches. Because of environmental issues involved in the various railway networks, there is more and more attention for long term sustainability. A good insight in their interaction and a thorough analysis of the system are important fundamentals for improvements.
Those wishing to present a paper are invited to submit a paper abstract in English, not later than 15 May.
