Industry confidence sustains demand for stands at Sifer
Published: Fri, 2014-11-07 09:37Rail industry suppliers are demonstrating strong confidence in their long-term market prospects, and in the role Sifer can play in showcasing their capabilities. Nearly five months before show time, and despite uncertainties caused by the structural reform of France’s rail network, the amount of stand space occupied so far almost equals that occupied at the last event in 2013.
230 companies have already decided to participate - some will be exhibiting for the first time or returning after a long absence. Sifer 2015 will have a strong international flavour, with an exhibitor list already featuring companies from 15 nations. This is expected to be matched by the event’s visitor profile: the 2013 show drew rail industry professionals from 38 countries.
9th Sifer exhibition opens on 26th March 2015 in Lille, France, in the midst of what is widely acknowledged as a pivotal phase for stakeholders in the French rail market. Confronted with a climate that is sluggish at home, yet buoyant on the international scene, major industry contractors, equipment manufacturers, industry suppliers and sub-contractors, together with public transport management authorities and operators, will all be looking forward to next year's event to explore new avenues for the future with a view to shaping the rail industry of tomorrow.
