Izmir announced 17 Train tender

Crowing number vehicles to be delivered
Tender for purchase of 17 train sets was proclaimed recently by Izmir Municipality of Turkey. Tender includes procurement of 17 train sets (85 Light Rail vehicles – 5 vehicles in each set), including the related services (trainings), consumables during warranty period, spare parts, factory equipment. Izmir Procurement of 17 Train Sets is funded by EBRD and the General Procurement Notice 7650-GPN-46435 for Izmir Procurement of 17 Train Sets project which was published on the EBRD website.
To be qualified for the award of a contract, tenderers are obliged to fulfill the following minimum criteria:
The audited balance sheets for the last 5 years shall be submitted and must demonstrate the soundness of the Tenderer’s financial position, showing long-term profitability. Where necessary, the Purchaser will make inquiries with the Tenderer’s bankers.
Average annual turnover as prime Supplier, defined as billing for Goods and Services delivered and under delivery over the last 5 years of 100 Million EUR equivalents.
The Tenderer shall demonstrate that it has access to, or has available, liquid assets, unencumbered real assets, lines of credit, and other financial means sufficient to meet the production cash flow for the contract estimated as not less than 65 million EUR equivalents, taking into account the Tenderer’s commitments for other contracts.
Experience as a Supplier to demonstrate the following within last 5 years – at least 2 (two) contracts for delivery of light rail train sets with the cumulative number vehicles delivered of 120 units, similar to the proposed Goods.
Tenders must be delivered to the office at the address below on or before 10:00 hrs. (Izmir local time) on 17.12.2014, at which time they will be opened in the presence of those tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend.
