Vladimir Putin criticizes tariff policy of RZD

According to Putin, the ever growing rail tariffs in Russia «remains very strange».
Vladimir Putin says:
"I do not insist on getting back to 1% increase, but the jump from 1% to 25% - is also a strange decision. Such decisions should be taken safely and gradually, in due time. We need to understand a scheme of setting railway tarriffs in Russia, and in particular on commuter rail transportations».
The problem with tariffs and suburban trains was considered by Putin at the beginning of February, after the announcement by RZD about the cancellation of 312 commuter trains in nearly 40 regions of Russia. At that period of time Putin demanded from the Ministry of Transport to immediately re-launch all the cancelled commuter trains.
