RZD to build rail line in Thailand

$2.5 billion to be invested in building of railway infrastructure in Borneo
Russian railway monopoly RZD has signed an agreement with the government of Thailand on the building of railway infrastructure and the marine coal terminal on the island of Borneo.
Implementation of the project is part of the plans of the Thai government for the establishment of infrastructure for transportation of coal to the island of Borneo.
The volume of investments in the project is estimated at US$2.5 billion. According to Alexander Saltanov, vice-president of RZD, construction works are expected to be started next year.
