RZD’s level of profitability decreased by 15% since 2007

The level of profitability of Russian RZD since 2007 has decreased from 22 to 6%, according to Salman Babaev, RZD’s vice-president of commercial operations.
According to him, despite the fact that the company’s cargo fleet remains practically on the same level the volume of transported cargo has significantly declined.
Babaev has also added that the company plans diversification of its activities during the next several years through the focus on road and marine cargo transportations.
