New express rail connection starts in Sweden
Published: Wed, 2014-12-10 14:00Additional express trains are put in operation starting 15 December between Dalecarlia (Dalarna in Swedish) and Stockholm via Uppsala and Arlanda. These trains are making round trip to region Bergslagen, which is a new extended tour with an early turn from Falun to Uppsala and a late trip from Stockholm to Falun. The purpose of the service is to commuting smoother and increase everyday travelling.
Dalecarlia is a historical province or landscape in central Sweden and it is bounded by Norway in the west.
The word "Dalarna" means "the dales" (valleys). The area is a popular vacation destination for Swedes from the south, which often travels there to relax during summer vacations, drawn by good fishing lakes, beautiful campgrounds, and deep forests.
