Ukrainian government dismisses current head of national railway operator Ukrzaliznytsya
Published: Fri, 2014-12-12 09:00The government of Ukraine has dismissed Boris Ostapyuk, head Ukranian railway operator Ukrzaliznytsya, from his current position.
Official reasons of such decision are not disclosed. Earlier, in September 2014, the Ukranian government has started checks of the financial and economic activities of Ukrzaliznytsya on suspicion of financial crimes and corruption.
According to Ukranian Prosecutor General's Office, there were also suspicions of violations, committed by top-management of Ukrzaliznytsya during the procurements and state tenders.
It is planned that the new head of the company will be appointed by the end of the current year.
