Thales receives new contract from DMRC
Published: Mon, 2014-12-15 11:02Thales has received a new contract from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for the phase 3 of Delhi metro in India.
The France based solution provider will provide a complete automatic fare collection system as well as ticketing equipment for the phase 3 including 79 new stations and 140 km of new metro lines.
The Thales Group provides solutions and services for revenue collection systems for public transportation operators. “Every day over 50 million transactions go through Thales systems, installed in over 100 cities in the world. In total, Thales systems deal with USD 20 billion worth of transactions daily. The facility in Brétigny, near Paris, is Thales's global competence centre for ticketing and revenue collection activities,” according to the company.
