New Canadian Rail Trend Report published
Published: Mon, 2015-02-09 07:53The Railway Association of Canada (RAC) announced the publication of the 2014 edition of Rail Trends, the association’s annual report on the performance of Canada’s railway industry.
Canada’s railways move 75 million people and $250 billion worth of goods every year, while relieving road congestion and helping to limit harmful emissions.
Rail is safe, reliable, and provides access to national and international markets, enabling Canada to successfully grow and compete in the 21st century. 34,629 jobs in the railway sector, $2.9 billion in wages and 60,000 indirect railway supplier jobs
Rail Trends Report contains a rolling 10-year review of statistics, reflecting multiple aspects of railway performance: from safety and fuel efficiency, to infrastructure investment and productivity.
