It is planned that trains will run on a railway line, linking the South Korean city of Busan, Seoul and the North Korean cities of Sinuiju and Pyongyang. Another line will start from the South Korean Mokpo and will connect it with the North-Korean city of Rajin and the Russian Trans-Siberian Railway line.
A proposal was submitted to the government of North Korea by the President of South Korea, Park Geun-hye. It is assumed that in the case of the agreement test trains can be launched on August 15 this year, when both South and North Korea will celebrate the Day of liberation from Japanese colonial rule.
