RailSync launches Railsync Mobile Command

To increase productivity and synchronize communication
ShipXpress’ subsidiary RailSync, an end-to-end software and service solutions provider for management and operations of short line and regional railroads, has announced the launch of Railsync Mobile Command.
According to the company statement, RailSync Mobile Command increases productivity and synchronizes communications between train crews, office staff and customers through use of an IOS or Android tablet that interfaces with RailSync Command, a comprehensive TMS for short line railroads.
Charith Perera, CEO, ShipXpress, said, "We are very excited about the launch of Mobile Command. It puts timely and critical information in front of the train crew, with a work order telling them exactly which cars to pull or place at each location.”
“Additional details such as Hazmat information or instructions are easily accessible. We can customize the UI to any device that our customers choose. We do not see any point in charging extra for mobile access which should be ubiquitous in today’s technologies and expected by today’s workforce," Perera added.
"Mobile Command has been very helpful for us – it is user friendly and easy to learn. Not only has it vastly improved communication between train crews and office personnel, but greatly enhanced customer service and reporting, as everything is done in real-time," said Melissa Smith, Chief Dispatcher of Arkansas & Missouri Railroad (A&M).
