China approves new standards of high-speed railway lines
Published: Mon, 2015-01-05 12:08State Railroad Administration of China has approved the country's first standards of national high-speed railway lines, according to local media reports.
The new standards will come into force on 1 February 2015 and are mostly focused on the issues of safety and security, both of passengers and trains.
A particular attention is also paid to the issues of safety during the design of road paintings, bridges, tunnels, monolithic rails, stations and platforms passenger stations, as well as propulsion systems and power supply, communication and alarm systems.
In 2013, a reform of the railway sector was completed in China, which resulted in the separation of the Chinese Ministry of Railways of China into two parts, and in particular the General Railway Corporation and China National Railway Administration of China.
