Prasarana Group appoints new Group Managing Director

Prasarana Group has appointed Encik Azmi Abdul Aziz as the Group Managing Director effective 01 January 2015.
Azmi has more than 25 years of experience in the public and private sectors in the public transport industry and has immense and outstanding intellect in public transport with his contribution to the public transportation sector that encompasses policies and operations of public transport systems and services.
Most recently he served as Chief Development Officer at the Land Public Transport Commission or Suruhanjaya Pengangkutan Awam Darat (S.P.A.D.) for more than 3 years.
He has played a pivotal role in planning and supervising the KVMRT Line 1 (Sungai Buloh-Kajang) and KVMRT Line 2 (Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya) and was deeply involved in the G-to-G collaboration and formulation for the High Speed Rail project from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore.
