Joint locomotive production to be launched
Polish locomotive producer Newag Gliwice has signed a deal with Croatian manufacturer Đuro Đaković to launch joint production of four-axe electric locomotives. Newag will provide its Croatian partner with the necessary technology and know-how to make Griffin E4ACU locomotives at the production facility in Slavonski Brod, the Polish firm said in a statement.

EIB supports modernisation of Polish railways

Newag signs EMU deal with Poland’s Lower Silesia region

Polish rolling stock manufacturer Newag has signed a contract with the country’s Lower Silesia region to supply six electric multiple units (EMUs) to the regional passenger carrier Koleje Dolnośląskie. The deal is worth close to PLN 81.5 million ($27 million), the producer said in a statement.
