Indian Railways appoints new Chairman

The new chairman has undergone training in USA and France
Indian Railways recently announced appointment of A. K. Mital as the new Chairman, Railway Board & Ex-officio Principal Secretary to the Government of India. He succeeds Arunendra Kumar who has superannuated on 31 December 2014 from Railway Services.
Earlier, Mital served as General Manager of South Western Railway-SWR and was also looking after the additional charge of General Manager, South Central Railway- SCR.
Mital has also undergone training in USA and France.
