Russia’s Evraz to supply rails to Cuba
Published: Thu, 2015-02-26 09:30Evraz, one of Russia’s largest metal producers, has completed the production of rails for the General Transport Procurement Company (TRADEX) in Cuba., according to press-service of the company.
The volume of deliveries will amount to 4500 tonnes of rails of the R50-N type with the length of 25m and 12 m.
The product is intended for use in state projects for the reconstruction of the existing access roads.
Evraz signed a contract with TRADEX in December 2014. In February 2015 representatives of TRADEX visited Novokuznetsk, where conducted examination and evaluation of the quality of new rails.
The annual volume of rail supplies by Evraz is estimated at about 40,000 tonnes. Among the major export destinations are the United States, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan and other countries in Central Asia.
